An extremely beautiful man visited a young girl one night. He started to visit her every night
then and the girl found she was pregnant. Her surprised parents asked their daughter about the man,
but the girl didnít know his name or address. The girl's mother gave her a needle and red thread,
told her to secretly put the thread through his sleeves upon his next visit so they could follow
where he comes from. The next morning, they found the thread going through the tiny keyhole into
the alter of the Miwayama shrine. The man was not a human, but a snake god who fell in love with the girl.
